We provide private residential, convalescent, and rehabilitative services across multiple locations, and we are now seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our team caring for elderly residents.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- A genuine passion for caring for older persons
- Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (formerly An Bord Altranais)
- Team-oriented approach
- Qualified 1st level nurse
Desirable:
- Experience working with older persons or relevant care settings
- Knowledge of Health Information and Quality Authority standards
- Previous supervisory experience
Your Key Responsibilities
Resident Care
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care
- Develop and maintain individualised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, escalating concerns when necessary
- Administer medications in line with best practice and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records
Communication & Teamwork
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team
- Participate in meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues when required
Health & Safety
- Promote and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
- Follow all health & safety, infection control, and emergency procedures
- Report incidents, hazards, or concerns promptly
General Duties
- Adhere to all professional and regulatory standards
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the nursing home
